SKRAPE: Sophomore Album Delayed, New Tour Dates Announced
October 3, 2003SKRAPE have pushed back the release date of their sophomore album, "Up The Dose", to January 6 through RCA Records.
Produced by Jimbo Barton (QUEENSRŸCHE, GODSMACK),"Up The Dose" follows SKRAPE's acclaimed 2001 debut album "New Killer America" and its hard-hitting Top 20 active rock radio single "Waste". Recorded partially in SKRAPE's own Orlando, Florida rehearsal/recording studio, the CD showcases 11 original songs including "Bleach", "Syrup", "In The End", "Ocean", "Habit" and the sprawling acoustic epic, "Searching For Home".
"Up The Dose"'s first single, "Stand Up", will impact rock radio later this year.
SKRAPE will give fans a preview of their forthcoming new album as part of a recently announced tour teaming the quintet with fellow rock compatriots STATIC-X, SOIL and opener TWISTED METHOD. The 22-city jaunt begins October 7 in Tucson, Arizona, winds its way through the west and midwest before culminating with a slate of east coast dates, including an anticipated November 5 show at Irving Plaza in New York City.
